Benjamin Burr

Benjamin Burr died Mch 31, 1681. Married Anna who died Aug. 31, 1683. Early member of the first Church. His name is on the Founders Monument.

3. Mary m. 1st Christopher Crow, Jan. 15, 1666/7; m. 2nd Josiah Clark
4. Hannah m. Andrew Hillyer

One of the proprietors "by courtesie of the town" receiving 6 acres in the distribution of 1639-40; his home lot was on the east side of the road to the cow pasteur; afterward called Burr Street, now North Main Street. He served in the Pequot War; freeman May 1658; Chimney Viewer 1670.
